Greetings from Mumbai

Downtown Mumbai from Nariman Point.
For Mumbai, think of a cross between
Manhattan, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, x10
MUMBAI, INDIA     Arrived Mumbai the 9th of August for a minimum assignment of six months with GEON Studios.   GEON is a rising star in VFX, with a crew strong in roto-extraction, matchmove,CG and compositing.  Matte Paint, Massive and Previs units round out the ample roster of rising talent.

My role in this growing organization is to Digital FX Supervise the crew, providing a mixture of CG and VFX supervisory leadership.  At this time there are a number of projects in the pipe, including a major new series for Indian TV, an Indian  film in development, and a Hollywood "A" list feature.  Some other great projects are in the near future, so it's quite exciting.  I'd love to say more, but there are NDA's to consider.  Smile

This is my second tour in Mumbai.  Last time I came for a quick two weeks, but now I'm living here.  Getting settled in has been a much bigger task than I anticipated, but has gone very smoothly thanks to the attentions of my host.   The people are great and the crew has an eager enthusiasm I enjoy being around.

This should be a great experience.
